About Dr. Frame

Education & Certification

Dr. Frame completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma and followed that with an Internal Medicine residency. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine.

Wound Care Expertise

His professional experience includes years of wound care and hyperbaric medicine in hospital based wound care centers. There he treated all sorts of wounds, including advanced and complicated wounds. Dr. Frame is deeply experienced in all areas of wound care practice, including debridement, use of advanced dressings and skin substitutes, total contact casting, compression dressings, and the diagnosis and treatment of infection and vascular disease.

Vascular Specialization

Dr. Frame has a special interest in the importance of both arterial and venous disease in both the formation and persistence of wounds. He devoted the time and attention necessary to develop expertise in treating venous disease, and has performed more than 500 radiofrequency and laser vein ablations. He is certified as a Registered Physician Vascular Interpreter, which required demonstrating expertise in interpreting vascular ultrasounds studies. These studies are important in the diagnosis and treatment of both arterial and venous disease, which are frequently important in treating wounds.

Limb Salvage & Amputation Prevention

A special interest is in "limb salvage" or "amputation prevention". Amputation can be a devastating complication of non-healing wounds. This is often due to fast-moving combination of severe infection and severe arterial disease. Preventing amputation requires timely intervention and often, the expertise of different specialists.

Dr. Frame has enjoyed success in preventing many amputations by managing the necessary care, quickly and correctly. He has found that many times, the need for amputation can be reduced or eliminated entirely.

Personal Life

A resident in Conroe/Woodlands area for years, he enjoys time with his family, reading, writing and outdoor activities.
